Last February, AMC unspooled the hotly-awaited spinoff of "Breaking Bad: Better Call Saul." The prequel series, which stars Bob Odenkirk, follows the journey and adversities of Jimmy McGill before meeting Walter White (played by Bryan Cranston).

The sophomore season of the show doesn’t air until 2016, but a host of updates and teases have emerged as the crew began production. New developments include two new sneak peek photos released by AMC featuring series star Bob Odenkirk and co-executive producers Vince Gilligan and Peter Gould. The cable network also announced that Better Call Saul has began filming for its 10-episode second run two months ago in Albuquerque, New Mexico.

Call Saul Now was able to gather the latest behind-the-scene photos shared by the cast and crew via Twitter and Instagram, offering new insights about the latest bunch of episodes.

The spinoff has also been receiving a lot of casting rumors, specifically about some fan favorite characters from "Breaking Bad. "The appearance of the infamous Gus Fring have been creating some buzz all over the web. But there’s still no word from executive producers Vince Gilligan and Peter Gould if they will allow Gian Esposito’s Big Bad to pop up in season two.

As for returning characters, there's a huge possibility that fans will see Mike (Jonathan Banks), Nacho (Micahel Mando), Kim (Rhea Seehorn), Chuck (Michael Mckean), and Howard (Patrick Fabian) again as they played a significant role in the past season.

In other developments, Rotten Tomatoes has voiced their Emmy nod for the "Breaking Bad" sequel. Using their Tomatometer, the site stated why Saul deserves to be recognized as Outstanding Drama Series this year. “Better Call Saul is a quirky, dark character study that manages to stand on its own without being overshadowed by the series that spawned it,” the site wrote.
