Microsoft is introducing a new laptop in the public called, Acer Aspire S7. The new laptop is expected to come with luxurious features like a full-size keyboard with a Chiclet style layout, and a white keyboard backlighting in various levels. It also measures 12mm thin and weighs 1, 300 grams.
Neuro Gadget noted that Acer Aspire S7 will have an IPS touch-enabled screen with 13.3 inches. The screen will come with Full High Definition resolution of 1920X1080 pixels. The new laptop will introduce a Gorilla Glass 2 screen. Aspire S7 will be powered by Intel Core i7-3517U, dual-core processor clocked at 1.9GHz. The report added that the clock speed may be increased for up to 3.0GHz. The 5th Generation Core can improve overall performance and graphics.
In addition, an exclusive page of Acer mentioned that the new laptop scored high in a battery-life test. It means that the laptop may come in full power without charging for up to 8.5 hours. The page also said that Aspire S7 can transmit and receive data three times faster than any average laptop. More so, it may come with a dual-torque hinge which locks the screen upon tapping and releases when lid is opened or closed.
Acer's page also noted that the new laptop will have RAID 0 Solid Slate Drive which will enable it to react as twice as fast as laptops with normal SSDs. It will come with a TwinAir cooling which will enable the new laptop to run cool and quiet.
On the other hand, Neuro Gadget reported the price of the Aspire S7 which starts from $699 to $1,799. Amazon, which is one of the online stores, offers the new laptop at a discounted rate. Its delivery date is estimated from September 23 to 30 through expedited shipping.
The release of Acer Aspire S7 is another way for Microsoft to display its creativity in manufacturing luxurious laptops.
