As the release of the new flagship phone made by Microsoft is forthcoming, hearsays about the specs and price are all over the wire.
Microsoft will be releasing their newest smartphones Lumia 950 and 950 XL this coming October 6, IBTimes said on their report.
It was rumored that these new flagships made by Microsoft will be as costly as the entry level iPhone 6s does, but then it will be bundled with some accessories. Phone Arena recently reported that there is a Spanish retailer that leaked the price for both Lumia 950 and 950 XL.
If this rumor is found true, the dual-SIM version of the Microsoft Lumia 950 will cost EUR659 (using the current conversion rates it will be $738), while the Lumia 950 XL will be priced at EUR749 ($838). But then, this price listing did not cite if the two upcoming Windows 10 Mobile handsets will be bundled with any accessories.
Neurogadget further discussed the features and specifications of the Lumia 950 and 950 XL. It is said that these devices will have a polycarbonate plastic body but most likely will have a metal frame, although dimensions were not yet disclosed. Both devices will be engineered with AMOLED screens supporting a QHD resolution of 1440 x 2560 pixels. The Lumia 950 will have a 5.2-inch display delivering a higher pixel density of 565ppi, while a 5.7-inch display supporting 515ppi goes for the phablet. Both will have Corning Gorilla Glass 4 on top of their screens which provides protection from scratches.
The 950 XL will be more powerful than the Lumia 950, as it will run on the Qualcomm MSM8994 Snapdragon 810 octa core processor which will offer a fully clad performance with the Adreno 430 graphics and 3GB of RAM. Meanwhile, the Lumia 950 will use the weaker Snapdragon 808 hexa core processor which will work hand-in-hand with the older Adreno 418 graphics and 3GB of RAM. Seemingly, both gadgets will be having one variant of internal storage with the capacity of 32GB, and both of them will not be supported by microSD card slot.
Both Lumia devices will have a 20MP PureView rear-facing camera with Carl Zeiss optics, OIS, dual-LED flash, 1/2.5" sensor size, 1.12 pixel size and video recording at a resolution of 2160p at 30fps, while the front-facing camera will be supported with a resolution of 5MP.
Based on their sizes, the Lumia 950 and 950XL will include batteries with different capacities. The smaller model will be armored with a battery of 3000 mAh, while the phablet will have enough place for a 3300mAh piece.
These rumors will be proven as the Microsoft unveils the price and features of the Lumia 950 and 950 XL to the market anytime soon.
