Sebastian Stan will return for the third instalment of "Captain America" to reprise his role as Bucky Barnes/Winter Soldier. He will have longer lines and exposure this time as per the new trailer of the movie shown during the Asia Pop Comic Con. Following the exhibition of the trailer, fans speculated the possible reason for the birth of Accord's rule.
In a recent interview with Collider, Stan talked about how Bucky will fit in the world of superheroes in "Captain America: Civil War." The actor will reportedly be involved in many scenes in the second sequel and have longer dialogues. Stan however, prefers not to say anything like in the first sequel but the development in Bucky's arc requires interaction especially with Chris Evan's Steve Rogers.
Stan also acknowledges the fact that the Winter Soldier is not as powerful compared to the other superheroes that he encounters in the movie even referring to his character as "sort of just a dude."
"It's funny placing him next to the Scarlet Witch or something where she's got all the stuff. I'm going, 'What is he going to do? He's just going to sort of block a lot of stuff with his metal arm.' But I think it's good, it's relatable. He could die at any point," Stan told Collider.
Aside from a more involved Bucky Barnes, the highly-anticipated Marvel film will also explain the birth of the Superhuman Registration Act, which would cause division among superheroes in the MCU. According to What Culture, the new trailer includes scenes where Cap battles it out against Crossbones while in Africa, which may be the setting for Scarlet Witch's "breakdown," eventually leading to Accords' decision to make the rule.
The trailer exhibited during the Asia Pop Comic Con however, did not include appearances from Black Panther and Marvel's top secret at the moment, Spider-Man, Comic Book Movie reported.
"Captain America: Civil War" will see more of Sebastian Stan's Bucky Barnes and how the Superhuman Registration Act will spark division among the MCU superheroes. The film will also serve as the opener of Marvel's Phase Three, slated to drop in cinemas on May 6, 2016.
