NO Story DLC for Metal Gear Solid 5: The Phantom Pain, Confirms Konami; Camp Omega Now Called Black Site

Gamers who are hoping for a Story DLC for Metal Gear Solid 5: The Phantom Pain and for those who are expecting for a continuation of the story should prepare themselves to be disappointed as Konami has announced, or, currently nothing to announce on the release of the title's expansion.

Answering to a fan's inquiry on Twitter, community manager Robert Allan Peer has revealed that Konami has no plans yet in releasing a story DLC for Metal Gear Solid 5: The Phantom Pain. "I don't have any particular story content to announce, no," answers Peer.

The news comes as a surprise to some since the storyline of the game seems unfinished, reports Segment Next. It isbelieved that the most obvious reason for this could be the recent rumours about the conflict between Konami and Metal Gear Solid director Hideo Kojima that made the developer to distance itself from this side of the game at the moment.

And for those who are looking forward to revisit Camp Omega, Peer confirmed that one way to revisit the camp is to play Metal Gear Solid Online.

"...it's one of the mission areas in Metal Gear Online (MGO), you don't play there like in Africa/Afghanistan," says Peer on Twitter.

Kojima mentioned last year that fans can to go back to the location saying, "People who own GZ will be able to play a different mission(s) at Camp Omega. That's the current plan. There's something of a big feature involved. It's never been done in the games industry before. So I can't go into detail about it, but I think when you experience it for yourselves you'll be surprised. It's something that's only possible through video games," Express Co.UK wrote quoting Kojima.

In the light of Robert Allan Peer's statement, it appears that Kojima has been misinterpreted.

MGO lists Camp Omega under the name Black Site with a description that reads: "The infamous US military base nine years after the events of "METAL GEAR SOLID V: GROUND ZEROES".

Metal Gear Solid 5: The Phantom Pain was released on September 1, 2015 for PS3, PS4, Xbox 360, Xbox One, and PC/Steam.
