Leighton Meester and Adam Brody welcome their first baby girl. Their first daughter, Arlo Day Brody was welcomed to the world in California early last month.

Gossip Girl star Leighton Meester and OC actor Adam Brody have been very private with regards to their personal life. The birth of their baby girl was not out until recently, keeping the news from the rest of the world for nearly 2 months. According to Hello Magazine, their baby girl was born last August 4 in Whittier, California at exactly 12:12 am. The details were never revealed in the past two months, amazing for the couple to keep such information from everyone.

The couple's choice to make their relationship and life private has been kept consistently. The two also got married in secret early 2014, holding a very intimate wedding ceremony with just their family and close friends. The 29-year-old actress chose to give birth in a hospital out of town to avoid the paparazzi following them around as reported by Lainey Gossip. It was also just recently along the revelation that the actress already gave birth that they revealed the name of their precious little girl, Arlo Day.

35-year-old actor Adam Brody had always been open about wanting a big family. In the previous months, he even jokingly said he wanted 12 kids. It was then already a hint that they were already about to start a family, since they never even really confirmed the pregnancy. US Magazine reports that Meester was last seen in public way back in July in Los Angeles Sherman Oaks neighbourhood. They have made it certain that they keep their pregnancy as private as possible.

The actress and her husband first met in 2011 at the set of The Oranges and again co-starred in the 2014 movie Life Partners. They got engaged in November, months after they revealed that they were dating.

Although the couple have made their married life private, they weren't trying to keep their baby girl from the world. They only intend to not be followed around, hence announcing the birth of their child months after she already gave birth.
