The showrunner finally reveals the characters who are going to return in 'Outlander' Season 2 when it premieres in 2016. Aside from that, Caitriona shares how her character did not intend to fall in love while the storyline of the second season will feature one of Diana Gabaldon's book series.
Ronald D.Moore spills the newest details on Lord Grey and Roger MacKenzie who will return to appear in 'Outlander' Season 2. Also, Caitriona reveals that her character Claire will become attracted to Jamie and on the side note, the upcoming season's plot will feature Diana Gabaldon's "Dragonfly in Amber".
According to Spoiler TV, showrunner Ronald D. Moore reveals that Lord John Grey and Roger Wakefield MacKenzie is set to appear in the new season. However, it has not been confirmed yet if there will be a crossover based on Grey's separate books.
Moore stated, "It's in the back of our minds as a potential thing. We'll just see what happens to Lord Grey."
On the other hand, Caitriona Balfe revealed to People how Claire is attracted to Jamie (Sam Heughan). Balfe admits that when Claire traveled to the 18th century, her intent was not to fall in love with anybody.
She said, "Even though he's a man of that time, there is something timeless and modern about him." Balfe adds that their lovestory was a gradual unfolding from a bond between a nurse and a patient.
Moreover, the season 2's storyline features the 2nd book of Diana Gabaldon's 'Outlander' series "Dragonfly in Amber". According to Entertainment Weekly, the plot will revolve around Claire and Jamie's struggle to stop the Jacobite rebellion, to prevent the Culloden Moor slaughter and the destruction of Highland culture.
'Outlander' Season 2 is set to premiere on Starz in 2016. Meanwhile, the first season of 'Outlander' Volume 2 is already available on Blu-Ray and DVD.
