Rose and her ex-husband Wiz Khalifa proved that they are in good terms, after Rose posted a photo of them after her Slut Walk event. The 31-year-old opened up about her relationships in the past with Khalifa and Kanye West.
Earlier this year, she revealed that she previously worked as a stripper for several years. She is now continuing to face the horrors of her past, believing she's doing her part to make a difference in the world. According to Los Angeles Times, the event was filled with several hundred people who joined the stripper-turned-model at Pershing Square. The female crowd was mostly filled with women, some shirtless and some were in costume. The protest was triggered by an incident back in 2011 when a police officer allegedly approached a group of college students and said that women should avoid dressing like sluts to avoid being victimized.
Amber Rose is fighting for the rights of women implying that just because of the way the dress, they are already asking for trouble or "asking for it." Time reported that Slut Walk was organized to avoid women of being judged based only on the choices they make towards their own body. For many females, their choice made them feel unsafe because that is what society has implied upon them. Hence, the Slut Walk is there to open the eyes of the bigger society that women should never be ridiculed by their choices and should not be blamed when something bad happens to them.
Amber Rose definitely made a big statement in behalf of all the women out there who are fighting for their rights. Women should never be judged for being who they are.
