Gran Turismo 7 has been a rumor for quite some time until bit of news have emerged from the depths of Polyphony Digital. Now, the upcoming title is facing the realm of next gen consoles, expected to give players a great time all throughout.

Gamespresso reported that two years have passed since the release of Gran Turismo 6 for the PlayStation3, and fans have grown hungry since then-wanting the next installment in the long-running series in the form of Gran Turismo 7. The game itself is expected to only be made available for the next gen consoles, and SCE President Shuhei Yoshida says that he actually wants to take the gaming experience to a whole new frontier with the latest technology.

According to Latinos Post, Yoshida brought up the fact that driving games are some of the most indigenous game types to incorporate the application of VR headsets. With it, rumors of Gran Turismo 7 having the VR headset compatibility has gone rampant, making fans excited beyond comprehension.

Delivered by iDigital Times, the upcoming Gran Turismo title will most probably deliver something awesome to the table, and even more once the VR headset addition becomes complete. Yoshida was quoted on explaining his desire for the system, saying, "Many trial tests we've been doing, some genres work just fine. One of those genres is racing games. So when Gran Turismo comes out on PS4, I'd like to see it support PlayStation VR, yeah."

Along the way, Yoshida was noted to have ranted on the fact that the application has a tendency to instigate motion sickness, and therefore, needs a handful more touch ups. In the same manner, players can only keep their fingers crossed as of the moment, waiting for the delivery that Gran Turismo 7 will indeed, be completely rigged with the VR headset. Both Yoshida and the creator of the game, Kazunori Yamauchi, as of the moment, will have sights set on them as the gamers stay patient.
