Odgers Berndston, a United Kingdom-based private equity firm, named Simon Havers as its new executive to head its new private equity sector team. Havers previously worked at Baird Capital Partners Europe Limited where he held the position of chief executive.

Havers was also the chairman of the British Private Equity and Venture Capital Association.

His new position will allow Havers to oversee the development of Odgers Berndston's presence in the industry in interim management, non-executive appointments, executive search, and personnel and management assessment.

Havers graduated from Cambridge University with a master's degree in Engineering and Management.

He has been working in the private equity sector for over 18 years.

Odgers Interim Managing Director Grant Speed remarked on the new hiring, "I am delighted Simon has joined us. He has been a well known and much respected figure in the Private Equity community for many years so brings with him a wealth of experience, insight and contacts. Our aim is to now expand our position in that market - especially as it complements many of our existing activities."
