Oracle and NetSuite revealed an alliance to deliver cloud-based services to mid-size business clients. The software companies announced its third tie-up this week as it aimed to move further into Internet offered services.
The agreement focused on Oracle's software integration for human resources with NetSuite's services for enterprise resource planning. The alliance will be driven to provide service for mid-sized firms as stated by Oracle and NetSuite.
Oracle President Mark Hurd told analysts that the tie-up should be seen as a way of continuing to integrate the companies' products closer. CEO Larry Ellison of Oracle is a major shareholder in NetSuite.
NetSuite makes web-based software for companies to render effective solutions for small and mid-sized businesses and clients. With the companies' alliance, it will be able to provide clients new sales opportunities. Oracle's partnership with NetSuite followed earlier agreements with Salesforce.com and software maker Microsoft.
NetSuite shares have tripled over the last five years. On the other hand, Oracle's shares have increased by about 40%.
