NumberFour AG receives $38 million in Series A round

Marco Boerries' startup venture NumberFour AG announced that it has secured $38 million in Series A funding. The investment drive was led by Mike Volpi from Index Ventures. Others companies which participated in the round were T-Venture Deutsche Telekom, Allen and Co., angel investors Andres von Bechtolsheim, Yahoo! Inc.'s co-founder Jerry Yang, Lars Hinrichs, and Klaus Hommels. Several others also participated.

NumberFour AG is a business platform developer targeted at offline and online businesses. The company provides productivity, communication, sales, procurement, delivery, reservation, and financial services.

"I am very grateful for all the help and support our incredible investors are giving us on our mission to help over 200 million people run their businesses," said chief executive officer and founder Boerries.

"I deeply care about enabling small businesses to become more competitive and successful. Having started four businesses myself, I know how hard and rewarding it can be at the same time. Small is beautiful!" he exclaimed.
