'Black Panther' Movie: Joe Robert Cole will pen the script; Chadwick Boseman's role becomes the most powerful superhero

While the director's chair remains empty, Marvel has found the writer for the "Black Panther". As some details about Black Panther have been hinted out, he was believed to be the most powerful superhero in the Marvel Cinematic Universe.

It was confirmed on The Wrap that Joe Robert Cole (FX's American Crime Story) is in negotiations with Marvel to write the script for "Black Panther". Moreover, Kevin Feige has signed to produce but, there is no reported director who landed to helm the future movie.

According to the Variety, Cole will be working with another screenwriter, Nicole Pearlman (Guardians of the Galaxy). Although the movie is still in search of a filmmaker, reports say the studio has shortlisted some names of the possible directors. Ava DuVernay has been offered but turned it down because she said "it wasn't really going to be an Ava DuVernay film." F. Gary Gray was also mentioned but it seems like he won't be directing as he was assigned for the "Fast and Furious 8."

Meanwhile, IGN indicated that Black Panther will become the most powerful hero in the Marvel Cinematic Universe. Black Panther and Namor found the secret hideout of the late Doctor Strange in Secret Wars #6 (by Jonathan Hickman and Esad Ribic). In order to defeat Doctor Doom, Strange will help Black Panther by authorizing him a fully assembled Infinity Gauntlet.

However, Black Panther's Gauntlet will only be used in a very particular location. So, Strange will convince Doom to build his castle on the exact place where the Gauntlet will work. With this, the audiences might witness a battle between Black Panther and Doctor Doom.

Marvel's Black Panther movie franchise will star Chadwick Boseman (Get on Up) as T'Challa also known as the Black Panther from the imaginary African nation of Wakanda. Sources say Andy Serkis will be back as Ulysses Klaw from the "Avengers: Age of Ultron" but his comeback has not yet confirmed.

With the movie slated for a release on July 6, 2018, Black Panther will have a debut in the "Captain America: Civil War" next year. But, who would you prefer to direct the future movie?
