Pippa Middleton, Nico Jackson Split: ‘It was mostly due to geographical issues’

One of the cutest pair, Pippa Middleton and Nico Jackson, has officially split after their three-year relationship

An insider confirmed and gave details to US Weekly about the couple's breakup. "It was mostly due to geographical issues," the source said. "They were rarely together since his move [to Switzerland] and it just caused too much strain on their relationship. They still love and respect each other."

The pair were last seen together in September as they display plenty of PDA during a date night out in London.

Another source revealed to ET Online that Pippa , 32, and Nico, 37, ended their romantic relationship about weeks ago. Despite of rumors of an engagement circulating back in 2013, the couple may have found it difficult to spend quality time together.

According to the source, the Duchess of Cambridge's sister stayed last week at the house of her ex, James Matthews, whom she dated back in 2012. This may not be the only time Middleton has been spotted with Matthews recently, but the source confirmed that the former couple do not have plans on being together again.

In another report from People, Pippa and James competed together in Otillo race in Sweden. Despite the reports that Kate Middleton's younger sister was spending time with some of her exes like James Matthews, a source who spent time with the former lovers, told People: "The group of six of them all seemed very close but there was nothing amorous at all, as far as I could see. They all just seemed like good friends."

Pippa, who needs more rest and relaxation after her break up with Nico, spent a bikini-clad vacation in St. Barts.

While many fans are shocked with the couple's decision, they still hope for the best. They believe that this break up is not the end of the good relationship between Pippa Middleton and Nico Jackson.

Is being separated the best decision for the two?
