Things are looking particularly flashy for the new season of CW's "The Flash", with an alternate universe and new faces coming all at once.
Fans were treated to a special promo reel of the things to look forward to in the show during the WB block of the recently concluded New York Comic-Con, TV Line reports.
Among the many exciting things coming in for the show would be the character Jay Garrick played by actor Terry Sears. Season one ended with the conception of a singularity (that ultimately took Ronnie's life) and the repercussions of this act comes about in season two. A parallel universe named Earth-Two suddenly exists and in that realm, Jay Garrick is the Flash. He then travels through space and time down to modern Central City, carrying with him a message that may alter the fate of our heroes.
Sears recently sat down with Entertainment Weekly, and was asked about his thoughts on two Flash characters appearing on the same show.
"...he [Jay] has more of a handle on what it means to have these powers, whereas you have Barry very much still struggling with questions of identity and how close should he let someone into his heart? There's a nice duality set up there," said Sears.
This interesting duality becomes even more intense with the entry of a new antagonist named Zoom. What is his involvement in Jay and Barry's life as a speedster? What are his intentions? How is he connected to the formation of the Singularity? More of these mind-boggling mysteries will finally be solved with his appearance in the upcoming episodes.
Some of the new characters eagerly anticipated in the new season include Doctor Light, Tokamak, and Hawkgirl, Movie Pilot reports. A new character going by the name of Patty Spivot will also be making an appearance and from the looks of it, a budding romantic link is to be expected between her and Barry.
Catch these exciting moments and more from "The Flash", Tuesdays 8:00 p.m. (ET) on CW.
