A new actor officially joins the cast as a series regular for 'Elementary' Season 4. The executive producer even stated that it is time for the fans to meet this character and he also shared some details regarding Sherlock's personal problems.

John Noble officially joins 'Elementary' as a series regular for season 4. Noble will be playing the character of Sherlock's father, Morland. Moreover, EP Robert Doherty revealed some juicy details about Sherlock's problem with his dad and drugs.

Noble is the newest member of the cast for 'Elementary' Season 4 and he will play as Sherlock's father, Morland Holmes. Den of Geek reports that Noble is going to be a series regular for the upcoming season and his character won't be appearing temporarily in the show. John Noble played the character of Denethor in 'The Lord of the Rings' movies.

In related news, executive producer Robert Doherty told TV Line the story on why Sherlock's father would suddenly appear in the 4th season of 'Elementary'. He said, "I think it's time. I would very much like to meet dad and explore this very complicated dynamic that we've been alluding to over the last two seasons. There's a lot to get out of a longer-term story about Sherlock and his father and everything between them."

In addition to that, Doherty also teased during San Diego Comic Con that Sherlock Holmes (Johnny Lee Miller) may not disentangle himself out of his problems with his father and heroine addiction. As noted by IGN, Doherty said that problems like those don't simply go away. For Doherty, a problem is not a huge nemesis to be dealt with.

'Elementary' Season 4 is set to premiere on Nov. 5, 2015 at 10:00 p.m. exclusively on CBS. 'Elementary' is an American crime drama series which portrays the life of Sir Arthur Conan Doyle's character Sherlock Holmes.
