According to Entertainment Weekly, Sarah Shahi teased that 'Person of Interest' Season 5 will feature the deepened relationship between Root (Amy Acker) and Shaw. Spoilers even suggest that Root will go through a struggle when Shaw disappeared. Root will also go in a turmoil in deciding if she will search for Shaw or if she will find the machine.
In addition to that, the teaser of 'Person of Interest' season 5 has been released during the New York comic-con. As posted on TV Line, the teaser features that the machine is having some facial recognition errors. Suddenly, the team is trading faces while trying to fix the bug and set up their latest mission.
On a different note, Vine Report mentioned that 'POI' show creator Jonathan Nolan revealed saying, "We're going to make 13 kickass episodes, and drop the microphone. I can't predict down the road but we're very proud of the show and if it's the last season, no one is going to be disappointed with the story we tell."
