The heroes of DC extended universe are coming together to take down a seemingly invincible enemy in the Justice League Part 1. Script for the film is finished, and filming is expected to follow. Plot details are currently under wraps, although rumors suggest that the highly dangerous A.I., Braniac is heavily speculated to be the main villain.
As cited in previous report, director Zack Snyder revealed that the script for the film has been finished by Chris Terrio, and they will move on to do the script of Part 2. Filming is expected to commence in spring 2016 throughout summer of the same year.
No details about how the team will be formed although as reported by Movie Web, most of its members are expected to appear in the DCEU in various films before Justice League Part 1 in 2017. But before they star in their team's film, some of DC's heroes are expected to make an appearance in Batman v Superman: Dawn of Justice. Aside from the film's titular leads, Gal Gadot is expected to appear as Wonder Woman, as well as Jason Momoa as Aquaman, Ezra Miller as The Flash, and Ray Fisher as Cyborg.
Although the enemy they are set to face in the film has not been revealed yet, speculations are extensive that the powerful and incredibly intelligent A.I., Braniac could be the next villain. Braniac is reportedly considered as one of the most intelligent beings in the universe, and is known for wreaking havoc and destroying civilizations, making him a suitable villain for the League.
But aside from Braniac, an article of Movie Pilot also cited other villains who would be fitting to get the attention of the heroes. The list included Mogul, Trigon, Nekron, Black Hand, Sinistero, Eclipso, Black Adam, Krona, Antimonitor, and Darkseid. These villains could also reportedly collaborate to make a bigger villain out of their union. However, until official details are released, these speculations should be treated with a grain of salt.
Justice League Part 1 is set to be directed by Zack Snyder. Aside from Superman, Batman, Aquaman, The Flash, Wonder Woman, and Cyborg, Green Lantern is also rumored to appear in the third act of the film but no actor has been attached for the role yet. The film is expected to hit theaters on November 17, 2017.
