Goldman Sachs-backed BackOffice Associates acquires ENTOTA Ltd

Massachusetts-based BackOffice Associates has bought Farnborough, UK-based SAP Data Services consultancy firm ENTOTA for an undisclosed amount. Goldman Sachs invested $30 million in BackOffice five years ago.

Former HP unit Avago to acquire disk drive and electronic semiconductors maker LSI for $6.6B

The acquisition by dual location-based chip manufacturer Avago Technologies Ltd of LSI Corp marked the second biggest acquisition in the semiconductor industry for this year, said a Businessweek report.

Valeant to take over Solta Medical for $236 million

Solta Medical Inc. has put up the company for sale amid falling profits and pressure from activist investor Voce Capital Management LLC. California-based Valeant Pharmaceuticals International will buy Solta Medical for $236 million in cash.
