The healthcare industry has yet to see a service that could completely change the industry similar to how Uber and Airbnb change their respective industries. Industry professionals give their opinion on what could become the big game-changer for the healthcare industry.

Las Vegas city cabs have overcharged the customers by a whopping $47 million, the findings reveal. The root cause of this extortion lies in its ridiculously high $3 credit card processing fees along with a hike in fuel surcharge. A $2 million study relieves Uber of the blame of adding to New York traffic congestion. The study basically refutes the allegations made by Mayor de Blasio, and throws up several more findings which hints at commercial car industry needing sweeping reforms.

Airbus partnered with Uber to provide on-demand helicopter rides to people using its H125 and H130 choppers.

The California Public Utilities Commission has fined Uber $7.6 million for failing to follow requirements that would protect passengers from discrimination. The company will pay the fine, but appeal the decision.

Uber has changed its driver recruitment policy and advised the previously rejected applicant seeking for drivers’ job to take the benefit of proposition 47. This law allows nonviolent criminal offenders to downgrade their offence level to misdemeanor through submitting applications. Uber’s effort is believed to benefit the released inmates who aim to rebuild their lives.

Uber has agreed to pay $20,000 in fine and adopt a better data security provisions in a settlement signed with the New York Attorney General, Eric Schneiderman. Besides that, the company also agrees to limit the number of employees allowed to use the system.
