‘Odin Sphere: Leifthrasir’ Updates: Game Trailer Reveals New Characters

Altus and Vanillaware has released its newest trailers for Odin Sphere: Leifthrasir which reveals characters Velvet and Oswald. The trailers highlighted the characters abilities, origins, and personalities.

These new characters are Princess Velvet and Oswald. Both has his/her own introduction video and brief descriptions were provided by Siliconera. Princess Velvet is the princess of the ruined Kingdom of Valentine, who is an independent and a very serious young woman. On the other hand, Oswald is the character known as the Shadow Knight. This blood-thirsty, cold-hearted, aggressive young man is regarded as the most powerful soldier in the Ringford Army.

In its trailer review, Gematsu laid down the specific backgrounds of these two new characters and how it affects their contribution to the game. Princess Velvet, being the surviving royalty, sought refuge to the Forest of Elrit who in turn became the Forest Witch. In the game, she must patch together the prophecies to unravel the mysteries behind the impending armageddon and must find a way to prevent it. While Oswald, being abandoned as a baby and was raised by Melvin, lives only to serve the latter regardless of its costs. He places little value on his own life for being treated as slave for a long time.

With the game surfacing the PS3 and PS4 consoles in the next few months, pre-orders bonuses of the game have been coming in the past weeks. Being the remake of Odin Sphere that was released two years ago, Odin Sphere Leifthrasir comes with new and improved gameplay features, exciting mechanics, and impressive graphics. According to Geek Snack, a Classic Mode shall also be included in the game wherein players will be able to play the game without the additions and enhancements.

PS3, PS4, and Play Station Vita players, have much to wait for the release of Odin Sphere: Leifthrasir, given the trailer release revealing new characters.
