Three new Street Fighter 5 characters have been leaked during the second beta testing and one of them is a returning Indian brawler, Dhalsim. Meanwhile, EVO Moment #37 has been recreated.
With the Street Fighter 5 beta on PS4 that ended yesterday, data miners have uncovered a complete roster of Street Fighter 5. Game Rant reports that contrary to earlier rumors that the characters will only be limited to 16 individual fighters, it appears that there will be 17 individual fighters based on the recently mined data.
There are now 14 characters officially revealed by Capcom for Street Fighter 5, however, there are 3 more new characters that are uncovered by data miners including Dhalsim and another two new characters who are only identified for now by their three-letter tags as "FAN" and "TUT". FAN is speculated to a boss because the model appears to have many attachments to the character and looks like it has a very complicated design.
So far, the names of the current list of officially confirmed Street Fighter 5 fighters: Ryu, Chun-Li, Nash, M. Bison, Cammy, Birdie, Ken, Necalli, Vega, R. Mika, Rashid, Karin, Zangief, and Laura.
Meanwhile, during the beta, some gamers explored the game doing some exhibition. According to Event Hubs, a player named Pan (ScDrPain), used Ryu to recreate the EVO moment #37. The player used Ryu instead of Ken fending off attacks from various characters on the beta roster.
The EVO moment #37 is the famous Daigo Umehara's dramatic victory against Justin Wong during the Evolution Championship Series Street Fighter 3: 3rd Strike competition in 2004. The moment was ranked first place by Kotaku in 2011 in its "The 10 Best Moments in Pro-Gaming History."
Street Fighter 5 is a next gen fighting game developed exclusively for PS4 and PC with cross-platform play between the two systems. It is expected to be released on or before March 31, 2016
