Long wait is almost over for Outlander fans as Season 2 premiere grows closer. The 13 episodes for second season will center on the journey of Claire Randall and Jamie Fraser as they attempt to stop Jacobite Rising set to happen in France. Claire's pregnancy, addition of latest character Brianna Randall, and the Outlander Season 1 deleted scenes are also revealed.
Outlander Season 2 will be based on Diana Gabaldon's second book entitled' Dragonfly in Amber' will take World War II nurse Claire Randall (Caitriona Balfe) who convinced her 18th century Scottish husband Jamie Fraser (Sam Heughan) to travel to Paris and stop the Jacobite Rising.
Movie News Guide recently included that a potential pregnancy of Claire will greatly affect her relationship with Jamie. However, in the book, Claire had a miscarriage but there were no reports yet on the fate of Claire's pregnancy for the television series.
The second season will introduce new characters including Brianna Ellen Randall who is making a lot of buzz as to who will be playing the part. Brianna was mentioned to be the second daughter of the time travelling couples. According to Cross Map, Brianna will be travelling through time to investigate about her family she never knew.
Access Hollywood dished out the newest cast of Outlander Season 2 including Lionel Lingelser who will play Louis XV, Laurence Dobiesz as Alex Randall, Frances de la Tour as playing Mother Hildegarde to name a few. Although, the role of Brianna Randall remains confidential. Earlier this year, Maeve Foley was rumored to play the part of Brianna but series Executive Producer Maril Davis denied the news.
For the fans, the intimate scenes excluded in Outlander Season 1 television can be seen in the Outlander: Season One Blu-ray and DVD set, available now from Sony Pictures Home Entertainment.
Outlander Season 2 is scheduled to air on Starz sometime in March 2016.
