"Outlander" Season 2 will be covering Diana Gabaldon's second book, "Dragonfly in Amber" from her currently eight-book series. The upcoming season will introduce new characters, including fan-favorites like Roger and Brianna. Showrunner Ron Moore admittted that he is not yet ready to spill details on the actor and actress who would play the respective roles. Moore, however, revealed that Lotte Verbeek will be returning as Geillis Duncan.
"Outlander" Season 2 will see the return of Sam Heughan as Jamie Fraser, Caitriona Balfe as Claire Randall and Tobias Menzies as Frank Randall. The second season will be taken from Diana Gabaldon's second book in the series titled, "Dragonfly in Amber." Heughan teases that the events from Season 1 will continue to haunt Jamie and Claire, as they try to change history.
