Google Nexus 6P Shipment Delayed, Affected Users will be Given Back $25

Not so good news for some Nexus 6P buyers according to Google- those orders that Nexus fans made on release date won't be arriving on time. The consolation is that they will be getting $25 as refund for the shipment delay.

According to the Nexus-creator, they are "working hard to meet the strong demand" of variations of color and memory sizes that Nexus followers so eagerly purchased the very moment the site put a buy button on the Nexus 6P page. Google assured the buyers that the phones will be shipped as soon as they could get the orders right. The company gives no further explanation.

PH Android tells how initial shipment dates, that were supposedly set for October 27th-28th, have now been moved to anywhere between November 7th to 14th. That's a delay of at least 11 days and at the most, 18 days.

The Nexus 6P is one of Google's latest smartphones built in partnership with Huawei. The Verge is calling Nexus 6P "a premium phone." The handset is Packed with a 5.7 inch phone screen, 2560 x 1440 AMOLED display and 518PPI pixel density.

The Nexus 6P is priced at a comfortable $499 (£449), cheaper than last year's Google Nexus 6, which was sold at $650 (£500) at launch. The fingerprint sensor is one feature that Nexus fans have been really excited about, which is located on the back and is static, meaning it doesn't double as a button that you can press down.

GSM Arena adds that the $25 refund, to be given to affected users, will be sent as soon as soon as their orders are shipped.

The most agreed upon reason for delay has been the speculation that Google and Huawei ran out of stocks. This could be a good problem if true, but nonetheless still a problem that the company is paying out $25 per phone for in exchange for demanding sales.
