"Empire" Season 2 Episode 6 will not be airing this week to pave way for the World Series on Fox but juicy spoilers about the next installment has been released. This includes Lucious and Cookie teaming up again in order to look for their son Hakeem.
Just a recap, episode 5 of "Empire" saw Hakeem being kidnapped by an unidentified gang, Christian Post reported. According to the publication, the official synopsis reads Cookie and Lucious putting aside their differences in order to work together as parents so as to protect any member of their family and keep them out of danger.
It was also reported by International Business Times that the episode entitled "A High Hope For A Low Heaven" will see Jamal doing his best to get back to the studio and break away from being known as a gay artist. The synopsis also revealed, "Andre works to shut down a division at Empire, until he discovers a disciple in the midst of Lucious' Gutter Life records."
A promo for the upcoming episode was also released and as per the video, Cookie was unaware of Hakeem being kidnapped while he was out jogging. She is heard saying in the video, "Hakeem Lyon, this is my fifth time calling you. You better not be ducking me." She then gets a video message minutes after showing Hakeem tied up. She immediately goes to her former husband and shows the video to Lucious and Jamal.
Jamal wanted to go with them but Lucious was heard saying, "The further you stay away from this the better. They will take you too." According to showrunner Ilene Chaiken, "Empire" Season 2 episode 6 will show the "snatch-and-grab" kind of deal in the music business. She teased, "It really is the story in episode six, but the issue of whether or not Lucious and Thirsty have something to do with it is key to the story."
Meanwhile, Music Times revealed that FOX won't be airing "Empire" this week and instead it will be aired on November 4 at 9 P.M. and episode 7 will be pushed back to November 11.
"Empire" Season 2 Episode 6 will see Lucious and Cookie teaming up to get Hakeem back after being kidnapped but it remains unknown if the youngest Lyonn's father actually had to do something with him being abducted.
