The second episode of "Empire" Season 2 was eventful despite the dipping ratings as Lucious has been released from jail making the competition pick up once again. It has also been reported that Lucious might ask Andre to kill someone for him but it remains unknown if the latter will do it.
According to Design & Trend, Jamal fired Cookie as well as Hakeem and Andrew from the Empire Entertainment in the second episode. Hakeem and Cookie then planned to make their own record label although the progress has not been revealed yet. Towards the end of "Empire," Lucious gets released from jail.
According to Penn Live, for the third episode of "Empire" entitled "Fires of Heaven," Cookie and Anika will be working together behind Lucious' back in order to have a performance that catches the eye of Pitbull, who will guest-star himself. As for Lucious, he tracks down the daughter of Drank Gathers to try and convince her to sign with him for Empire.
The Lyon family will also be sitting down for dinner as a whole for the first time since season two premiered. The publication shared that in a teaser clip, Lucious was heard saying, "I know I was only gone for a few months but it gave me a whole lot of time to think about a whole lot of things, like my wonderful family and how y'all all banded together to try to destroy me."
It has also been reported that Andre might offer Lucious to make someone "go away" to let him back on the Empire Entertainment staff. In the teaser clip, he was seen gathering two shovels so it is speculated that he might have killed someone for Lucious, possibly the lawyer responsible for his prosecution.
Meanwhile, Billboard reported that more songs for "Empire" season 2 are being done such as "Bout 2 Blow" performed by music legend and executive producer of the show Timbaland. Some of the lyrics have also been penned by the show's Hakeem played by Bryshere "Yazz" Gray.
"Empire" season 2 episode 3 entitled "Fires of Heaven" will see the Lyon family competing against each other after Lucious gets released from jail. The Fox series airs Wednesdays at 9 P.M.
