Three Samsung Galaxy Tab S2 8.0 models have been reported to be on the list of the South Korean company's expected devices to receive an Android 6.0 Marshmallow 6.0 update. The Galaxy Tab S2 models that will receive the update include SM-T715 (LTE), SM-T712 (3G) and SM-T710 (Wi-Fi).
Google has been constantly brewing up news on a regular basis for their latest mobile operating system, Android 6.0 Marshmallow. Samsung Galaxy Tab S2 8.0 is now part of the line up that will be receiving the update according to many sources.
International Business Times has quoted that the Marshmallow update will come to the Galaxy Tab S2 by the second quarter of 2016. There are also other reports that are saying that it could actually come as early as April of next year, however Samsung users might want to wait a little longer as Samsung has yet to release a final statement.
A report by GSM Arena is claiming that as many as nine Samsung devices will be getting Google's new firmware - Galaxy S5, Galaxy Note 4, Galaxy Alpha, Galaxy A8, Galaxy A7, Galaxy S6, Galaxy S6 edge, Galaxy S6 edge+ and Galaxy Note 5.
The Samsung tablet sells for a price of $399.99. One of the Galaxy Tab S2's more prominent features include an option for up to 6 window displays for multi-taskers, a body that is only one-fifth of an inch thick, and a fingerprint sensor that is almost instantaneous in identification. The device has been inducted by PC Mag into their Editor's choice for tablets.
The Samsung Galaxy Tab S2 8.0 is a powerful and memory-packed tablet with 3GB of RAM and 32GB of ROM that is expandable up to 128GB. It's main display resolution reaches 2048 x 1536 pixels shown on it's 8.0 inch 4:3 ratio display screen. It's powered by an octa-core Exynos 5433 chip.
In other adjacent news, rumors have determined that the Galaxy Note 4, which was released just last year, will be getting it's update by as early as the end of this year.
