Sprint is already bound for the Android 6.0 Marshmallow software testing on its units of Samsung Galaxy S5 before the year ends as official release is confirmed in the first quarter of 2016. According to the official Marshmallow list from Samsung, testing will come in November.
Samsung Galaxy S5 units on Sprint is ready to hit Android 6.0 Marshmallow tests as development stage is reported finishing early next month. Testing will immediately succeed manufacturer development wherein the device will undergo Sprint's certification process. In this stage, evaluation of Marshmallow's performance will be evaluated as well to guarantee paramount class for Marshmallow experience.
If Android 6.0 Marshmallow software is pronounced successful, the mobile carrier will kick off release of the software's official and final version. As revealed earlier last month, Samsung has confirmed the official release of Android 6.0 Marshmallow to Galaxy S5 devices in the first quarter of 2016.
Since September, there have already been news that the official release will come out as early as January. However, AT&T will have the final say when to release Marshmallow on its Samsung Galaxy S5 devices.
Samsung Galaxy S5 versions on Sprint have model number SM-900P. All of Sprint's units are still running the Android 5.0 Lollipop software upgrade.
Android 6.0 Marshmallow software will come in with major refinements in features, system process and device management. Six aspects have been the focus of Google for its major updates including the user interface, web experience, battery, security and many more apps.
Meanwhile, Google Now is considered the most refined enhancement of Marshmallow. It originally operates as a predictive assistant on home screen and scamper through apps to gather data. With the improved version, it will scan device information on screen and suggest pieces of information that users might be able to use.
To launch Google Now, press and hold the home button. The app will screen and process content and come up with recommendations.
Marshmallow also is powered by Intelligent Prediction Engine to perceive frequently used activities and generate a tray of app shortcuts for instant access.
