If all these will be pronounced successful, official release will begin rolling out. An official list from Samsung revealed that Galaxy Note 4 will get the software upgrade early in 2016. Previous reports already pointed out that upgrade might come in January; however, devices on mobile networks will receive the upgrade according to its decision.
Samsung Galaxy Note 4 versions on US Cellular have model number SM-N910R4. All of its units are now running on the Android 5.0.1 Lollipop software version. Meanwhile, it remains uncertain if it will still be updated with Android 5.1.1 Lollipop.
The Marshmallow software will come in with major enhancements in user interface, battery, security, system apps and web experience. Among the most prominent improvements include Google Now, app backup and restore, app drawer, cut, copy and paste option, apps permissions, notification board, and several others.
On top of it, fingerprint scanner support also is coming. It originally works for authentication purposes only. It works by placing registered fingerprint on the sensor. With Marshmallow, it can now be used purchasing apps from the Play Store aside from the original password method.
Marshmallow also supports the all-in-one port called USB Type-C. This cord and port combo is a tiny reversible cord that work for phones and tablets. Aside from its charging capability, the USB can be used for transferring data and video between devices.
