Samsung Galaxy S6 on Sprint is now bound for the testing phase of Android 6.0 Marshmallow. The flagship smartphone is categorically under manufacturer development wherein the mobile carrier and the device manufacturer have agreed to support the upgrade.
Sprint is now in the loop for the Android 6.0 Marshmallow software upgrade for its units of Samsung Galaxy S6. The device is ready to go through testing from Sprint which is duly expected to begin next month.
Testing stage happens to undergo Galaxy S6 in a certification procedure. Accordingly, this method will be the springboard for Sprint to ensure finest quality of Marshmallow.
If deemed effective, release will officially begin. However, exact release date can only be determined as per discretion of the carrier and the device's location.
Galaxy S6 units on Sprint has model number SM-G920P. The device had just been updated with Android 5.1.1 lollipop software version.
Meanwhile, Android 6.0 Marshmallow software will bring in innumerable enhancements in user interface, guest mode, security and so many more.
Being the biggest Android update in history, Marshmallow will emphasize on six major features for a complete and enhanced user experience. These include Google Now, app links, web experience, app permissions, fingerprint support, mobile payments and power ability.
With Google Now, the app will read what is on the device screen and suggest or recommend pieces of information that users might be able to use-an upcoming event, sorts of reviews, map location, celebrity news, tech advancements, how-tos, name it and Google Now has it.
Galaxy S6 Edge is a 5.7-inch phablet driven by Samsung Exynos octa-core processor, 32 GB of internal storage expandable to 128 GB and 16 MP main camera. Its screen display is finished off with a Super AMOLED material with resolution of 2560 x 1440 pixels.
Over eight months after is big launch, Galaxy S6 smartphones on Sprint is now pegged at US 580 to 860 dollars.
