Amazon Starts Black Friday Countdown; Includes 'Metal Gear Solid 5: The Phantom Pain', 'Dragon Age: Inquisition'

It is that time of the year when people can once again enjoy a great deal of sale, as the online retail colossus Amazon has recently launched its countdown to Black Friday. The said event is popular for offering a huge multitude of deals on various items, including video games, all month long and beyond. Among the games included are "Metal Gear Solid 5: The Phantom Pain" and "Dragon Age: Inquisition."

According to Gamespot, Amazon's countdown to Black Friday event has started and is believed to offer "tens of thousands" of deals. The promotion will run from November 27 and ends on December 22. As for Amazon Prime members, they are said to get access to more than 30,000 Lightning deals 30 minutes before everyone else as part of this new sale. It is also worth noting that early deals are already made available and will constantly be updated during the countdown to Black Friday deals week.

As of writing, 46% of Amazon customers in the United States are Prime Members. Reports have it that the figure, compared to last year, was doubled. These members are essential to Amazon's strategy in bringing customers deeper into its ecosystem. They are believed to get two-day free delivery as well as access to multiple perks.

As for gamers, this event is certainly for them. Business 2 Community reported that among the first deals offered in Amazon's countdown to Black Friday include "Metal Gear Solid 5: The Phantom Pain" for PlayStation 4 and Xbox One and the Game of the Year Edition "Dragon Age: Inquisition." The former is discounted to $39.99 while the latter is offered at $40, down from $59.99. Gamers can reportedly check other video game titles on Amazon's Black Friday section.

Yibada, on the other hand, reported that the Xbox One's asking price, which is $350, could go as low as $299 starting November 27. For many retailers, particularly, the said discount is believed to take effect a lot earlier. Apart from Amazon, people should also look out for Walmart and Best Buy as other tempting Xbox deals will be made available for both walk-in buyers and online purchasers.

Now that Amazon's countdown to Black Friday has started, people could expect more deals - all day, every day. For gaming enthusiasts, a "Metal Gear Solid 5: The Phantom Pain" and "Dragon Age: Inquisition" is good start.
