The long running action-adventure game has confirmed the 2016 release of its latest title, Final Fantasy 15. Recently topping at number 4 for the most wanted games, the developer has hinted the gamestory and the explanation behind the black costume of the characters. On the other hand, fans have also initiated an online campaign for a PC release of the game.
Square Enix has finally announced the 2016 release of Final Fantasy 15, though the exact date is yet to be broadcasted. In an interview, Game Director Hajime Tabata was asked on why the protagonists are dressed in black. He answered that the black attires are the official battle gear of the Kingdom of Lucis. He explained that black is historically treated as a special color in the fictional Kingdom. According to a Gospel Herald report, the game story revolves around Prince Noctis, a member of the Royal Family of the Kingdom of Lucis, along three other protagonists. The three other characters are members of various Lucian national organizations, wearing their respective station uniforms. Tabata added that the black wardrobe is not just an aesthetic aspect, but would also influence the battle in the game's finished version.
The game also garnered the fourth place in Famitsu's Top 10 Most Wanted Games. In the previous month, the game has clinched the third spot with Monster Hunter X at the top. However, Gaming Bolt speculated that the game has silpped a little as fan interest diminishes while waiting for the game for so long.
On other news, a recent petition has been revolving around the gaming community for a PC release of the game. The game's development for a PC version was first hinted when a recent job posting in Square Enix surfaced with very little information on the job qualifications, according to Latino Post. There was not even an educational requirement for the contractual post. For instance, fans have been praying that the job opening meant a needed work for Final Fantasy 15's PC version. A petition with already 15,009 signatures has surfaced, addressed to Tabata, praying for the game's PC release. The petition was initiated by Evan Jay of Rockland, New York.
