Gionee is expected to launch its newest smartphone, the Elife S Plus, later this month. Since the company has released a teaser of its latest handset offering in its official social media accounts, it is no wonder that the smartphone is really fast approaching. It is also the first-ever device of Gionee to feature a USB Type-C port.
The Chinese mobile maker has been gearing up for the launching of its Elife S Plus as seen on its promotional teaser. The photo posted had a caption that says "Prepare your senses to experience the next level in mobile technology. Keep watching! #SenseThePlus." Hence, in the next few weeks, everyone will get to see this flagship phablet that seems to be a larger version of the S5.1 Pro.
Gionee Elife S Plus is reportedly to sport a 5.5-inch AMOLED 720 by 1280 display with Corning Gorilla Glass 3 protection, 3150mAh battery, and a 16GB internal memory expandable through a micro SD card. Under the hood, it will be powered by MediaTek's MT6753 chipset with an octa-core 1.3GHz Cortex-A53 processor, Mali-T720 GPU, and a 3GB of RAM.
Camera wise, it boasts a 13-megapixel rear shooter with LED flash and a 5-megapixel front snapper for video calls or chats and selfies. It will also run on Android 5.1.1 Lollipop operating system out of the box and support LTE connectivity for dual-sim capability. In addition, the Elife S Plus features Face Unlock option, the latest Gionee Amigo launcher, as well as an Immersive Touch technology. In terms of retail pricing, the device will cost at around $260.
Furthermore, its USB Type-C port can be located at the bottom of the device. This next-generation port makes it more convenient for the users to plug any cables and USB drives the proper way. It is long-lasting and reversible.
Nonetheless, the Gionee Elife S Plus will be launched first in India this month. Unfortunately, there are no official announcements yet regarding its release date. Thus, it will most probably be this month, so stay up-to-date and never miss any details about this very promising smartphone.
