Microsoft has been successful in making waves in the desktop field, but still struggles in establishing a steady reputation in mobile devices and services.
As Windows 10581 has been released to a short-list of trial run Insiders, the new build has thankfully brought fixes to the last Build. Unfortunately, new bugs have now arisen from the update. Aside from that, there is relatively nothing new to the mobile OS update, claims Bidness Etc.
One of the major bugs was that Insiders were unable to upgrade to 10581 without flashing back to Windows 8.1. But with the new update, they are able to upgrade directly over to build 10581, not only from Windows 8.1, but also those that run on build 10549 and 10572.
The newest Build update, however, introduces a few new bugs. After installation, Insiders will have to expect about 5 minutes of blank screen while it upgrades. Another bug involves crashing applications once transferred to the phone's SD card, which can be fixed with a quick reboot.
According to Yibada, the Windows Mobile 10581 is a crucial project for Microsoft as it could help them gain back their lost position in the mobile industry. The biggest part of the mobile operating system is the ability to share apps between desktop and mobile with ease.
In other news, Windows Central reports that members of the Windows Insider program received more good news as the company has released a new version for the Insider app in preparation for the full release of Windows 10 mobile. The new version number for the Windows Insider app is 1.3.231.3. New features include being able to sign up to test preview versions of Windows 10 Mobile, with either the Fast or Slow ring for updates and giving direct feedback to Microsoft to further improve the Build.
Windows 10 mobile is expected to grand launch amongst its phones by December 2015.
