'The Good Wife' Plots Storyline That Can Damage Peter Florrick’s Campaign; Legal Drama To End After Season 7?

The upcoming episode of "The Good Wife" will explore on a storyline of Eli Gold where he plans to leak something that can bring a negative impact on Peter Florrick’s campaign. The Nov. 8th installment s titled “Lies”. In other developments, it has been reported that the legal drama starring Julianna Margulies should wrap things up after its current seventh season.

Eli Gold is hiding something up his sleeve, and viewers will know about it on The Good Wife this Sunday. The official promo released by CBS through Youtube hints that Peter’s longtime right hand is on the verge of doing something shady, an action which can jeopardize Peter’s aspiration to climb the political ladder with Hilary Clinton.

Elsewhere on “Lies”, Alicia and Lucca takes on a client who was fired by a tech firm after failing a polygraph test. The episode, according to The Futon Critic, will also mark the guest starring appearances of Christine Lahiti and Dominic Chianese.

In other "The Good Wife" news, a recent report suggests that the legal drama is a potential candidate for the shows that need to end after this season. According to E! Online, the political storylines of the Robert King-produced series are no longer engaging compared to the show’s early years. They also pointed out the endless drama inside Agos-Florrick-Lee hasn’t really evolve, making The Good Wife lose its edge among the veteran TV series.

However, despite of the negative remarks, they still look forward to the cases of the week being handled by Alicia and Lucca.

No word yet from co-creators Robert and Michelle King if this will be The Good Wife’s final run. For fans who are worried, they definitely have to hope for the show to air a game changing storyline for critics to change their perspective.
