Fans rejoice! It won't be long till Metallica releases their new album. But in the mean time, Metallica has given an awesome service to keep their fans from waiting.
While there is yet to be an official date for release or any news for their upcoming record, Metallica shares a peek of their ongoing record featuring James Hetfield.
To celebrate the newly redesigned website metallica.com, drummer Lars Ulrich shares a video of what's currently going on with the group. Lars started the video talking about normal stuff like Halloween and also took the chance to thank the "army of people" who helped make their website. Around the two-minute part of the video, the goofy drummer enters their studio looking rather pleased to disobey the "do not disturb" sign. At that point, fans are in for a peek of James Hetfield playing a few heavy riffs as he also greets fans saying "Hi, fifth member." The video finishes with Lars squealing around, excited about the music and their updated website.
The new metallica.com has almost all the information about the band that diehard fans could check in this site, reliving and being updated by Metallica's whereabouts. All the more, the welcome message of the site sounds really touching, inviting the metal band's fans to become their fifth member. Like Hetfield said.
"Welcome to the all new Metallica.com and Fan Club! We're excited to provide you with a complete digital home for all the latest news and updates, over 30 years of history, photos and videos, and your new Fan Club community as we invite you to become the Fifth Member of Metallica."
The new site includes of course a music section where there are two divisions to choose from; Releases option can take the viewer to all the album releases Metallica has in the past 30 years, while the Songs section can let the audience pick among hundreds of Metallica songs in which the song's background including its lyrics can be seen. There is also the News section where fans could probably hear about the upcoming album, a Photos section featuring many photos and videos of the band, a Band section that of course is all about the band, and more. Pretty much, the new site with its neat cool layout is a treasure box for Metallica fans.
Go check out their website and have fun.
