The anticipated Sony Xperia Z6 may not be seen shortly since the company is not planning to launch a new smartphone during the first quarter of 2016. Nevertheless, the new flagship Xperia Z6 is expected to have serious significant improvements when it launches next year.

During the Berlin IFA 2015, Sony's art director Rikke Gerstsen Consulting has brought out in an interview that its design team is already working on latest phone models to be shipped in the second half of 2016, 2017, and 2018. However, he hasn't provided any word with regard to a new release for the first half of 2016. This has made the leading industry observers to speculate that Sony could not launch anything soon, Latinos Post noted.

According to Breath cast, the next flagship Sony Xperia Z6 is speculated of sporting the Snapdragon 820 processor and a similar 1080p display that can be found on the Z5. Nevertheless, a chance that Sony will opt to feature a UHD display with the newer model will always be there.

When it comes to its design, a report from Crossmap has stated that the Xperia Z6 is widely speculated that it will sport Sony's OmniBalance design. It is also mentioned that this flagship device will be powered by no less than the Snapdragon 820.

Moreover, the alleged Sony Xperia Z6 is being projected of coming along with a microSD card and a USB type C. This smartphone was also reported to arrive with the latest Android Marshmallow straight from the box.

If Sony will follow their similar pattern of schedule that they have been practicing since 2013, then the company will release the new Sony Xperia Z6 in February 2016. However, if some rumors are to be believed that Sony will limit or slow the releases of their devices, then fans can expect that the flagship Xperia Z6 will not be seen until the second half of 2016.
