Hiro and the gang are set for another adventure in the forthcoming Big Hero 7. New speculations currently surrounding the film suggest that Disney could be eyeing on creating a cinematic universe for the franchise with possible spin-offs for Fredzilla and Honey Lemon.
After Stan Lee's statement about a Big Hero 6 sequel as one of the films to be released by Disney, several plot and character speculations have made their rounds online. And as reported by Realty Today, a source working with the Disney Executives has reportedly revealed about a bigger plan for the franchise.
With the advent of cinematic universes, Disney is said to be considering creating one of their own. The source claims that the studio is planning to release stand-alone films for the characters and two that it expected to be released will be those of Fredzilla and Honey Lemon.
Fredzilla's standalone film is said to be set after the events of the previous film. Several characters that are rumored to appear include his partner, Agent Souza, and villains Whiplash and Lancer. On the other hand, Honey Lemon's film is expected to delve into the subject of good and bad science. A villiain by the name of Madame LaRoche is rumored to appear.
Meanwhile, rumors about Tadashi's potential return continue to be persistent online. As reported by Movie News Guide, Baymax's statement about Tadashi being alive could be explored further in the upcoming Big Hero 7, while claims about his character's link to the powerful mutant Sunfire are also rife.
According to Ecumenical News, Stan Lee is expected to be involved in creating the sequel as suggested by his previous statement. "After Ant-Man, we're going to start playing around with Doctor Strange, the Black Panther, the Inhumans, and then we have to come back for Guardians of the Galaxy 2, Big Hero 6, the Avengers, Captain America. I don't even know how they decide what to do next, because every one of them is so exciting and the public is waiting for them." Lee said.
Big Hero 6 was a box office success earning $650 million worldwide, according to Box Office Mojo. No release date and director have been announced for Big Hero 7 yet but more details are expected to be revealed in the coming months.
