Leah Remini has been controversial recently due to her claims about Scientology and the events that happened prior, during and after the wedding of Tom Cruise and Katie Holmes. The actress revealed quite a few details about the couple.
Controversial Leah Remini recently released a new tell-all book entitled: "Troublemaker: Surviving Hollywood and Scientology" that presents circumstances about the wedding of Tom Cruise and Katie Holmes that were not of public knowledge. According to Yahoo, she revealed shocking moments prior to the wedding, such as she was allowed to meet Tom Cruise after donating $1 million to the International Association of Scientology. She also revealed how she first met the actress Katie Holmes, which was during a salsa dance lesson and saw Tom "manhandling Katie, dipping her in a forceful way."
The 45-year-old Remini also said that during the wedding, Tom stood for about 20 minutes at the altar which made the guest really uncomfortable waiting for Katie to come out. One of the guests, Jennifer Lopez, even allegedly asked Remini if she thinks Katie is still coming at all, as reported by US Magazine. She also revealed how Tom Cruise allegedly had a meltdown when his assistant gave him a chipped mug. He even allegedly referred to his assistant as a DB, which in Scientology means a Degraded Being.
There were a lot about Tom Cruise and Katie Holmes as a couple and as an individual revealed in her book. She also claims that Katie accused her of disrupting the party during their wedding and setting a poor example to others. She allegedly spent $2,000 in apology to the actress. Entertainment Tonight reports, that the Church of Scientology released a statement with regards to Leah's claims saying it does not surprise them how someone as self-absorbed as she is to exploit her former faith as a publicity stunt to get attention.
There is no confirmation from Tom Cruise or Katie Holmes to back the claims of Leah Remini. Katie however said she regret having upset Leah in the past but doesn't necessarily confirm her story.
