‘Deus Ex: Mankind Divided’ Updates: New Ending Scheme Featured, Different From ‘Human Revolution’ Multiple Choice Ending

By

Square Enix's Deus Ex: Mankind Divided is confirmed to launch by February 23, 2016. It is a sequel to Deus Ex: Human Revolution which had been the talk of the gaming community for its multiple choice ending. With its release on the way, fans have been informed that a different ending scheme will be adapted by Deus Ex: Mankind Divided.

It has been a long fan speculation whether Deus Ex: Mankind Divided shall have the similar multiple choice ending as of its prequel, Deus Ex: Human Revolution. The conjecture has finally been settled when lead writer Mary DeMarle said that the sequel shall have an ending with a different style from the first game. During PAX Australia, PC Gamer had a chance to talk to DeMarle on how the game shall expand on oppressive and dystopian Deus Ex vision. Accordingly, she explained that they did not actually want the Human Revolution's ending to be dictated by a press of a button. However, they had to succumb to the choice due to production and time constraint. They wanted the players to have the things done and believe that one has to work for a desired ending.

DeMarle said that instead of choosing an ending between buttons, the ending shall be determined by the choices a player made and a product of the consequences of such choices all throughout the game, Cinema Blend reported. There will be no arbitrary multiple choice ending which rendered everything a player did to be useless. Instead, it would be the other way around for the Mankind Divided title. Furthermore, DeMarle said that they have been putting much time for an ending that is fine-tuned to player experiences.

In other news, Executive Game Director Jean-Francois Dugas, confirmed on his Twitter account that the game shall run at a 'locked' frame rate of 30 fps as PlayStation Lifestyle reported. This tweet is in response to the speculation revolving in the fan community as to whether Deus Ex: Mankind Divided shall run at 60 fps or at 30 fps. Meanwhile, Square Enix have cancelled its "augment your pre-order" campaign after garnering tons of negative fan reactions.

Create your own ending as a product of your choice and in-game consequences in Deus Ex: Mankind Divided. The game is set for release on February 23, 2016 for Xbox One, PS4, and PC.
