Much anticipation has been circling around The Incredibles 2. Aside from director Brad Bird, Michael Giacchino was also confirmed to also return. Plot details are currently scarce for the film but the family's youngest member, Jack Jack is rumored to become the next villain.
Brad Bird is currently working on the much awaited sequel. As reported by Movie News Guide, he revealed that storyboarding has started for the film, while the script is also progressing as it is three quarters to getting finished.
Moreover, as reported by Den of Geek, he also recently confirmed that Michael Giacchino is set to return for The Incredibles 2 to score the The Incredibles 2. Bird confirmed the announcement on Twitter saying "Yep. You can't do better than a perfect fit...!".
Plot details for the film are currently under wraps. Alhough, Bird previously said that with the advent of superhero films and cinematic universes, the franchise will stick to its core and focus on the characters and their relationships. " So we're trying to keep it focused in the area that our film was which was a little bit more about characters and relationships and stuff like that, and see where that takes us", he said.
Plot speculations are rampant for The Incredibles 2. As reported by Realty Today, the youngest member of the Parr family, Jack Jack, could be the main villain. According to the trade, Helen and Bob will soon leave the crime fighting scene, and will pass it on to Dash and Violet. However, unable to control his powers, Jack Jack will eventually become one of the villains the family will have to face.
It is not clear yet how long the time jump will be from the first film to The Incredibles 2, however, more details are expected to be revealed when production makes progress. It is written and directed by Brad Bird, and is set to hit theaters on June 12, 2019.
