Street Fighter 5 Axed Zoomed Crotch Shots, R. Mika’s Butt Slap

Much to the dismay of Street Fighter supporters, game developer Capcom decided to axe crotch shots especially close ups and the Rainbow Mika's signature move: the butt slap.

Game Rant reported that Capcom makes the controversial decision of removing occasions with sexual content especially the detailed crotch shots of the fighters. Other than that, Capcom decided also to chop off Mika's butt slap triggered by victorious match with her super attack, comes with not much explanations. It was assumed that the butt slapping was eradicated due to poor taste. R. Mika's launching to Street Fighter 5 will move forward with changes before the game's 2016 release.

The site observed that censorship decisions are made to improvement mass attractions. For instance, for Street Fighter 5, some audience may find the ass slapping as despicable and that they will not make an effort to play the game. In some countries, explicit content may be somewhat acceptable but in other regions, it may cause bad press.

The alterations in R. Mika's moves was noticed by fans, Game Zone confirmed. According to the latest look of Street Fighter 5, R. Mika has been soften rather a bit. Fans observed that in the earlier build for Street Fighter 5, Rainbow Mika would hold her opponent's legs splitting. But with the modifications, opponent's legs are much nearer together.

R. Mika's precious butt slap has been switched with camera angle showing her upper body instead of her very robust lower body, the site added.

Aside from R. Mika's move, crotch shots are also put into limitations, Game Ranx stated. Case in point, Cammy's entrance has been revised, that instead of camera positioned to her crotch after high jump, the camera is now focus on her face and legs. The changes is said to be an attempt of Capcom to reach wider audience for Street Fighter V. Street Fighter V introduces new characters such as Brazil's Laura Matsuda and some returning heroes.

Street Fighter V will be available for Windows and PlayStation 4 in 2016.
