Tom Clancy's Rainbow Six Siege post-launch plans have been detailed, with new maps and new characters, along with new game modes, new weapons, and many more coming next year.
The game will come with four new maps and new eight playable characters when it be released next month. Next year the game will receive four expansions and each of these expansions comes along a new map and two operators, notes IGN.
Each operator will be equipped with new primary and secondary weapons and a unique gadget. All maps and modes will be immediately available to all players as free DLC, however, the weapons and skins of the new operators can only be unlocked by using "Renown" which can be earned either by playing or by players paying with R6 Credits, that is by using real money.
Ubisoft explains more about R6 Credits on its official blog.
"R6 Credits are an optional premium currency that will be available at launch in packs of 600, 1200, 2670, 4920 or 7560. A pack of 600 R6 Credits will cost $4.99 USD, with larger bundles offering more Credits per dollar."
"Nearly everything you do in Rainbow Six Siege will net you Renown, including winning or losing matches, kills, assists, reviving teammates, playing ranked matches, watching tutorials or completing Daily Challenges."
Also, Tom Clancy's Rainbow Six Siege players can expect post-launch support with the game regularly receiving tweaks, gameplay balancing, game improvements, and detailed patch notes.
Ubisoft is preparing a team of about 80 people equipped to listen to the players' feedback and monitor gameplay statistics to bring the gaming experience to its best.
Developed by Ubisoft Montreal, Rainbow Six Siege is basically a multiplayer game but there are also some single single-player missions for players who would prefer to carry out things alone.
Tom Clancy's Rainbow Six Siege is originally scheduled for release on October 13, but moved to December 1 as the developer needs more time to polish the game. The game will be released for PS4, Xbox One, and PC.
