Aptech Limited, a Mumbai-based education company, has opened itself to acquisition opportunities that are in line with career education, to which it now focuses on, according to Ninad Karpe, CEO and managing director of Aptech Limited.
The company, which started out as a computer education firm, acquired Maya Academy of Advanced Cinematics and transformed itself into a career education firm in 2010. Aptech today offers career education, English language training, travel and tourism and through the Maya Academy of Advanced Cinematics, multimedia education.
Presently, Aptech Limited collects 80% of its revenues from retail and the rest from enterprise businesses, with the largest component of this being computer-based testing and assessment. With its presence in 40 countries, including Poland, Vietnam, West Asia, Nigeria, Afghanistan, executives at Aptech said the company is confident it can generate 50% of its retail business from abroad by next year.
They also confirm plans of massive African expansion in 15-20 further countries in the next 3 years, in addition to their current six in the continent of Africa alone.
