Last Tuesday’s episode of "Agents of SHIELD" finally unmasked the real man behind the monstrous creature that is Lash. The Nov. 10th installment explained how Blair Underwood's Andrew became inhuman and how coulson's team handled him. Amid this revelation, followers of the show are bound to discover the real danger behind Rosalind Price and the ATCU, as well as Ward's revenge plans.
In a report from Entertainment Weekly, series executive producers Jed Whedon, Maurissa Tancharoen and Jeffrey Bell echoed their thoughts about giving Underwood the role of Lash. “We were happy to give Blair, an actor we deeply respect, some work to really sink his teeth into. And [it] will transform his character… literally”.
Moving forward, they promised that viewers will certainly know what drives the said character. “We hope to explore some gray areas morally, as we are wont to do. You will eventually come to understand what drives him and possibly sympathize with his position,” they teased.
Actor Blair Underwood, meanwhile, also offered some hints about his character’s trajectory in a report from E! Online. "Without giving anything away, you'll see in subsequent episodes an explanation of how he became Lash and how he feels about it. It's very complex," the actor previewed.
Now that his secret is finally out, Underwood further shared that he felt “very much relieved” after keeping the Lash secret for a couple of months.
According to the actor, the producers told him about the huge secret during a table read in episode four. And this is what he replied: “You know what? That is, like, the best birthday gift I could've gotten”, the actor enthused.
In other news, next week’s episode of Agents of SHIELD is expected to be another hour filled with action. The Futon Critic has shared that the Nov. 17th installment will delve on Ward’s plan to ruin SHIELD – but a surprising twist will take place. According to the site, Phil Coulson and his team will uncover a threatening matter involving Rosalind and the ATCU. Viewers will have to tune in to what sounds like another cliffhanger-y episode.
"Agents of SHIELD" was able to surprise Marvel fans once again with another twist on Blair Underwood’s character. While the fans follow him in the next episodes, another dilemma is about to block Team Coulson as Rosalind Price and ATCU's ally has been finally revealed.
