The flawed yet whimsical Pfefferman family will return for the second season American comedy drama series, Transparent, with a new premiere date. Emmy winner Cherry Jones and Academy Award winner Anjelica Huston will join the cast as guest stars for the few episodes of the Amazon hit series.
In the teaser video which can be watched here, Tammy Cashmanthe portrayed by Melora Hardin and Sarah Pfefferman played by Amy Landecker celebrate as the two got married. The Pferfferman family is requested by the photographers to post for a photo at a wedding, however the family struggles to have a decent photo taken. The trailer ends when Maura Pfefferman (Jeffrey Tambor) walking away when one of the photographers called her sir.
Amazon confirmed earlier reports on guest stars Cherry Jones and Anjelica Huston for Transparent Season 2. The role for Cherry Jones has not been revealed yet, however ,Huston's character has been finalized. Huston will play Maura's new friend who will appear in the three episodes of the show. Jill Soloway, creator of the Emmy nominated series, tells Variety Huston may even appear in the third season of show which is slated in 2016. Jill also described Transparent Season 2 as "wild wacky".
The upcoming season will tackle on the struggles of Maura Pfefferman as she comes out in the open. Her publicized transition will impact her and her decision making ability, TV Line noted. Rabbi Racquel Fein and Josh Pfefferman adjust their relationship when Josh's son arrived.
Stars Kathryn Hahn, who is seen in the new trailer, Rob Huebel, Carrie Brownstein, Alexandra Billings, Tig Notaro, Alex MacNicoll, Trace Lysette, Jay Duplass, Emily Robinson, and Michaela Watkins reprise their roles in Transparent Season 2.
The Transparent is created for Amazon Studios debuted in 2014. Season 2 of the series is set to be available on 11 December 2015.
