Activision's Skylanders Superchargers is a kart racing game which involves driving, flying, and plumbing. The game makes use of physical toys which can be synced into the game and play with it in the digital world. Originally released for consoles, it is now available with iOS platforms which comes in a Starter Pack that offers a great deal.
"This is the kind of magic we've seen consistently from the franchise since Skylanders created a brand new way for kids to play with their toys", Ledger Gazette comments as the game releases in iOS. With the game's iOS release, one may just simply log in to one's iCloud account and save progress automatically. All of the toys released for the previous games can be played with the new ones. However, while the game mostly involves flying, driving, and plumbing into the deep, one may not be satisfied with the single vehicle which comes with the game. And for the first time, Portal Masters can compete in online multiplayer between devices through Apple's Game Center.
Since its release for the consoles in September, the company adds vehicles to its long array of physical toys which can be used for the franchise. iOS, as Chip Chick reports, makes no compromise as its starter pack includes the same Portal of Power, custom controller, and built-in stands, along with two character toys and a vehicle. The Portal of Power enables iOS device to connect over Bluetooth and allow toys to be zapped into the game. Player 1, on the other hand, has now the choice between using touch controls through mobile platforms or through the custom Skylanders controller.
Being referred as one of the most ambitious and successfully executed console to iPad transitions ever by High Def Digest, the site reviewed the gameplay of Skylanders Superchargers. The site listed four of its favorite things about the game. First is the co-op campaign where there is a mixture of vehicles and on-foot play at signature levels. Next is the leveling up and modding with an amount of variety in powers and looks that are visible in the gameplay. Another thing is the Kart style of racing, and finally, the Skystones which feature an exciting card game.
Activision's racing cart game, Skylanders Superchargers, is now available for iOS platforms. iOS' Starter Pack comes with Portal of Power, Skylanders custom controller, built in stand, and two character toys with one vehicle.
