Lenovo has unleashed its latest addition to its smartphone lineup, the Vibe S1, during the IFA event last September. And just recently, the company has made the Vibe S1 live on its official website, suggesting that it could be launched this month. The upcoming device is said to be the first-ever Android handset to include two selfie cameras.
Less than a month ago, the Chinese multinational computer technology company has released its Vibe P1 series handsets. And now, Lenovo is gearing up again to launch its newest Vibe S1 smartphone in India, as reported by International Business Times.
The Lenovo Vibe S1 is expected to sport 5.0-inch full HD display with an aluminum frame around its edge and Gorilla Glass 3 protection. Under the hood, it will be powered by MediaTek's 1.7GHz MT6752 64-bit octa-core chipset paired with 3GB of RAM. It also includes a 2420mAh battery that is said to power the device for about 11 days in a standby mode as well as 32GB of internal storage, expandable up to 128GB through a micro SD card.
Camera wise, it features a 13-megapixel rear shooter with BSI sensor, Phase Detection Auto Focus, and dual-tone LED flash. While on the front, it boasts a 2-megapixel selfie snapper used for sensing the depth information. It functions to allow the users to refocus on the objects after being taken as well as add DSLR-like blur, mix, and swap backgrounds.
In terms of connectivity, this latest Lenovo handset supports 4G LTE, Bluetooth 4.1, WiFi 802.11, GPS, and dual-SIM. It also runs on Android 5.0 Lollipop out of the box.
On the whole, the Vibe S1 seems to be an exciting smartphone due to its two front cameras. As everyone is obsessed with taking selfies these days, it will absolutely one of the most sought-after devices in the smartphone market. However, the pricing, official release date, and availability of the Lenovo Vibe S1 aren't revealed yet. Hence, wait for the formal announcement of the company.
