The latest installment of the Resident Evil franchise, Resident Evil: Umbrella Corps, was scheduled for release early on 2016 for PS4 and PC. Furthermore, Capcom has recently unveiled the game's first gameplay trailer which provided a sneak peek of the game details and features.
It can be seen through the gameplay trailer that the game's cooperative multiplayer shooter was set after the Resident Evil 6 title. Gaming Bolt reports that in the game, players get to team up with other operatives of two different competing corporations, trying to dig up the former Umbrella Corp's dirty secrets. The gameplay also showed that players can now take cover behind various objects in either the first or third person perspective and will even have a Zombie Jammer to prevent or hinder attacks.
It was announced during the Tokyo Game Show that the game would be playable for the first time in the New York Comic Con within October 8 to 11, PlayStation Lifestyle reported. Capcom regarded the game as "the new fast-paced third-person multiplayer shooter set in the Resident Evil universe". The Umbrella Corps title shall be playable along Resident Evil Zero Remastered as well.
During the New York Comic Con, Capcom has invited Gaming Age for a free trial of the game. One of the first things that the testers have noticed was the close-over-the-shoulder camera which reminds them of Black Sheep from the Resident Evil 6. They also noticed that the game looked to run smoothly and the controls seem to be pretty responsive. The game came in a One Life mode with a best of 3 out of 5 for each round with no respawn. Another feature of the game is its new melee weapon called the Brainer, which appeared to be a combat axe. The map of the game has the looks of an industrial factory. Lastly, it was commented that the game offers not much of the opportunity to run and gun, which prompts players to strategize heavily.
